Judi Dench wins the 1999 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play (Amy's View)

Very special thanks to Kate Ritter, who saved me a whole lot of work by forwarding fifteen wonderful screen shots which cover Judi's appearance in the main show as well as on the PBS introduction on which Judi and David Hare presented several awards.

The pictures are in order and the first two are from the PBS Special. The rest, you can see for yourself follow her from her seat to the end of her acceptance speech. She was presented with this Tony by Christian Slater and Scott Wolf on June 6, 1999 at the Gershwin Theatre.
