Sir John Mills, CBE, was honored by the British Film Industry, The Lord's Taverners and the British Royal Navy during an evening of celebration for his 72 years as an actor, his 93rd birthday and his recent Diamond Wedding Anniversary to wife Lady Mary Hayley Bell Mills.

The evening's festivities took place at the Painted Hall at the former Royal Naval College, Greenwich, Wednesday, February 21st 2001.

Along with Judi Dench, those taking part included Lord Attenborough, Sarah Mills, Roger Moore, Lord Lloyd-Webber, Kenneth Brannagh, Richard Stilgoe, and Hayley and Juliet Mills.
