Geoffrey Palmer, Thelma Barlow and Saskia Wickham are
to star in a TV adaptation of Stig Of The Dump.
Stig will be played by Australian actor Robert Tannion. The new series will be on BBC1 from January 6. It is based on the classic childrens' book about a young boy called Barney, who falls into a quarry and befriends a caveman called Stig. Stig's costume was made by designers who worked on the Harry Potter movie. Brookside actor Michael Starke, Emma Rydal and Perdita Weeks are also starring in the BBC series. |
